You will need to go one size larger than your ‘normal’ EU shoe size. If you prefer a ‘roomy’ fit, then go two sizes larger.
The length and width of the insole of this shoe is as below. Remember the shoe has good volume in the forefoot so the actual comfortable width of this shoe will be a few mm greater than this ‘flat’ measurement. Fit is personal, but most people will prefer to have at least 4 or 5mm spare room in front of your largest toe(s):
Size 36/222mm length, 89mm width, Size 37/228mm length, 91mm width, Size 38/234mm length, 93mm width, Size 39/243mm length, 95mm width, Size 40/247mm length, 97mm width, Size 41/253mm length, 99mm width, Size 42/260mm length, 100mm width, Size 43/266mm length, 101mm width, Size 44/272mm length, 102mm width, Size 45/276mm length, 103mm width, Size 46/284mm length, 105mm width, Size 47/290mm length, 107mm width, Size 48/296mm length, 109mm width
Length and width measurements taken as follows:
Hand wash with luke warm water and mild detergent. Air dry.

I also bought Talus 2 to wear at my work at a school (indoor). And these shoes are so wonderful and soft! You don’t feel you wear them! I know you can wear them outside, but these are my new favorite indoorshoes. Very flexible, breathing, soft and roomy!

My wife bought me these as “slippers” for my birthday. Wanted something as comfortable as the Bootee to wear around the house.
Again, very comfortable, only worn indoors – so not had heavy use – but not had any problems with them (still like new over a year later).

At first, these were my new favorite shoes. They look sleek and minimalist, slip on easily, and breathe well (two stars for aesthetic and fit). After a day of wear, however, the insoles began popping out, along with the fabric that’s supposed to be attached to the insoles, now bunching up at the heel. Less than a month in and the fabric has detached completely from both insoles, leaving bare foam insoles sticking to my feet. The high cost of these shoes isn’t worth the cheap, short-lived construction.

Hi Richard, sounds like the insole is not good. Drop us a line on freet@freet.uk and we’ll send you a pair of our new Flexile insole. All the best, Team Freet

Talus 2
Been wearing the Talus 2 for a few weeks and they’ve become my everyday shoe.
Got it the same size as my other Freet shoes and size 48 fit my UK size 12 feet just fine.
The soles are nice and thin with decent grip, and lots of space for my toes. I wear them without socks and they clean out fine on a low temp wash.
Note: if anyone doesn’t like putting shoes in the washing machine an alternative is to put them in a plastic bag and stick them in the freezer for 24hrs, the cold kills all the smelly bacteria 🙂 )
The insoles did come unstuck after a few days but a few dabs of super glue kept them back in place.
Thumbs up for the Talus 2

I absolutely love how simple, and at the same time versatile, these shoes are! I have several pairs that I use as indoor shoes, for running, working at home on the farm and pretty much everything else in between.
I love the feeling of being completely barefoot but in situations when I do need shoes I want a shoe with a very thin sole and good groundfeel and these shoes give me just that. I’ve tried many different minimalistic shoes and I think the Talus are the closest you can get to actually being barefoot, but with some extra protection against the elements.
I just have one little complaint and that is the insole. On all 3 pairs I’ve bought so far the insole has not been glued in place very thoroughly so the front part tends to come unstuck and bunch up a little under my foot as I move around. It would be nice if you could glue the insole on better or not glue it at all so it can be taken out more easily.
But other than that little detail I’m very happy with these shoes and recommend them to everyone who wants a trully minimalistic shoe.

I would like to place that order for 2 pairs of talus size 44. One of my pairs has finally given in after possibly 3 years of good use! – very durable shoes.

The Talus 2 is the best footwear I’ve ever worn.
Really.
A true bare-foot feel. Wearing them you feel connected to the ground with toes able to spread nicely, but the tough undersole prevents stones, etc. from causing any discomfort. They are very lightweight but also tough. I’ve given mine a kicking over the months and they’ve held up really well – barely left my feet since I got them. Ordering a fresh pair today.
My only criticism if I have to be picky is that the insole is not fixed to the sole and can move around a bit, especially without socks. Easily fixed with a few dabs of super glue.
I’ve washed mine 10+ times and they come out as almost new every time.
I cannot recommend these enough.
I will keep wearing them out and ordering fresh pairs for as long as Freet keep producing them.
Thank you Freet!

Wow this shoe is like having nothing on your feet. I am a long distance hiker/walker and this is my shoe for training and events. I also participate in other endurance adventure sports including cycle touring and trail running. I bought this shoe to use for my training and challenge events but unfortunately i have plantar fasciitis in one foot so i use the Respond that has more impact support but if i didn’t this would be my choice, i truly love the way this shoe makes you feel and the simplicity of it. I now use it around camp after a long day hiking or cycle touring or shorter runs on the trails. i own four pars now, the Talus 2, Spring 2, Respond and the Urban Ayr, Great products and great company.
