Foot-shape forefoot

The Freet shape mirrors the shape of our feet allowing the toes to spread and flex naturally.

Connectivity

Whilst providing essential protection, the Freet midsole & outsole enables feet to come alive as they receive and respond to stimulus from the ground.

Flexible uppers

Our soft and flexible uppers are designed to fit like a glove enabling the foot and shoe to work as one. This liberates all the muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones to move and function freely

Toe style

5 in 1 – all toes together with a wide toe box to optimise toe spread vital in natural movement – most of our shoes.

4+1 – split toe where the big toe has a separate toe compartment to provide a glove-like feel. Just one main style – Leap.

Upper

FreetMesh

Our main sports and everyday material. FreetMesh are designed for most days outdoors, Spring, Summer and Autumn. Three different types:-

CoffeeYarn – made from re-cycled coffee grounds which are milled into nanometer size powder. This is then used to create a polyester-like spinning fluid before processing into a flyknit thread. The material is naturally antibacterial (coffee!), quick drying and durable. A superb comfortable high-performance sports and everyday material.

BottleYarn – made from re-cycled post consumer plastic bottles. We create pellets from which we extrude a filament for weaving our yarn. BottleYarn is tough, breathable and comfortable to wear. Another great performance sports and everyday material.

BreatheMesh – durable and ultra-breathable this mesh is suitable for a broad range of activity from performance to everyday.

All Year Round

Weather proof materials. Everyday all-weather insulation. Three different types:-

MicroF – We use our third generation of our microfibre. This is a polyester-based close weave material which is highly water resistant, breathable, extremely strong and comfortable to wear. It is also easy ‘wipe clean’. Like leather it does need a good quality proofer/conditioner to keep the material supple and water resistant.

Water Resistant Lined Mesh – these Freet Mesh materials are lined with a water proof breathable lining to increase the level of water resistance.

Leather – premium full grain leather made from the best quality hides. These make superb comfortable, durable shoes .We treat the leather to create a water resistant finish.

Insole

ConnectComfort – Our world-leading shock absorbing foam technology from Ortholite will continue to respond and cushion the impact for far longer than traditional EVAs. More performance with less material our standard 3mm Ortholite leaves you better connected with the ground.

ConnectComfort+ – 6mm Ortholite will shock absorb and shape to your foot whilst maintaining good ground contact.

ConnectMax – For the closest connectivity with the ground, this Freet Flexile insole or EVA material will give essential cushion and protection whilst providing our highest level of ground sensory feedback.

Midsole

We use a thin (2mm) shock absorbing and flexible polymer material between the rubber outsole and removable insole. Our midsole has a mesh overlay on the top surface to allow the foot to be comfortable if you prefer to remove the insole to be closer to the ground.

Outsole

HillGrip – grippy, deeper 4mm lugs suitable for difficult or wet, muddy or steeper trails.

GripPlus – suitable for trail use, and everyday. This compound and 2mm deep lugs and grip layout gives great traction for the good-quality trail. Available on some 5in1 and Leap 4+1 styles.

MultiGrip – proven grip & durability for road, pavement and gym use. Also effective on better quality, less steep trails.

EasyGrip – excellent connectivity. Suitable for smoother surfaces outside and indoors including travel and everyday.
