Had mine for over a year now and absolutely love these barefoot shoes. So light and flexible, easy to throw on and go out. I have walked miles in my shoes including these freet connect. The only problem I have is the insole is glued and stitched in to the shoe, and it has worn out under my heel and ball of my foot creating hot spots in my shoes. The only solution I have is to try and remove the insole or throw away a perfectly good pair of shoes as the sole is fine. I can’t put an insole on top as this defeats the purpose of the barefoot feel. I have the same problem with a pair of chukka boots but managed to cut out the insole for them, and am just walking on the rubber just fine. The muddee’s have a removable insole so why can’t this design be used on other styles. Love my freet shoes just not the insoles.

Hello, thanks for the review. On the insole, our 5in1 shoes going forward will have the option to wear with the included removable insole or wear without. This should help! On 4+1 shoes, these are meant to be even more minimal ‘glove-like shoes’, so an extra insole is not so desirable BUT we are making the integrated insole more rugged. All the best, andrew

Simple and so amazing! The top of this shoe is toe heaven, a light, flexible, strong sock, perfectly secured with laces. The bottom bends and flexes like a banana peel, but unlike a banana peel, has incredible grip on the ground. The perfect shoe! Please bring back this basic, unstructured design next season 🙂 Since the shoe is minimal, I got a roomy size (normal size in other brands +2) and for activities that need more cushioning, I slip in a flexible and cushioning insole.

These are the comfiest shoes I have ever owned! I wear them all the time and it makes me want to get rid of all my other shoes! I will always buy Freet shoes from now on!

Even though I have only wore them for the past 3 days I feel like I can give a review having other minimalist type shoes. As expected the Poron insole really makes a difference with being so low to the ground. I’m sure the out-sole helps as well. The comfort is pretty good with or without socks and is very breathable. I want to say they’re just a tad bit more comfortable than my Primal 2’s yet half the stack height. Oh, if you have Primal 2’s just get the same size in the connects. Besides more feel vs the Lems because the connects are lower the platform of the connect out-sole just feels better all around. These shoes are super flexible.
With that said, the connects aren’t going to do as well on rocks IMO being how low stack the height is. I don’t plan on using them for that anyhow. Needless to say with how breathable they’re I suspect they won’t keep your feet warm in the fall-winter for much time at all. Finally the laces are too long for how the shoes fits me. Overall for the intended purpose of the shoe I gave it a 4 out of 5. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a spring-summer minimalist shoe.

I bought a pair of Freet Connect shoes in June 2018. I really like the fit and feel of the shoes. I am a size 45 in Vivobarefoot and Merrell shoes, but was not sure what size to go for in Freet shoes. I contacted the online store and found the team there really helpful. I ordered a pair of Freet Connect in size 45, but found them a little small. I contacted the store and they were really helpful, they were happy to exchange the shoes for a size 46 no problem. Many thanks team Freet!

Very comfortable for walking or just normal day to day stuff. Cool when it’s hot and still comfortable if the weather changes and you end up with wet feet.
The sole gives excellent protection from sharp stones and very good grip in most conditions.
