The length and width of the insole of this shoe is as below. The shoe is a little longer than the insole. Remember the shoe has good volume in the forefoot so the actual comfortable width of this shoe will be a few mm greater than this ‘flat’ measurement. Fit is personal, but most people will prefer to have at least 4 or 5mm spare room in front of your largest toe(s):

A very comfortable shoe. I use them instead of slippers for indoor use and particularly like the way the sole give you good contact and “feel” for the floor surface. I am a size 45 in a shoe and bought a size 45 Talus 3 – I’ve found it to be right for me with plenty of room.
I will be back when I need a pair of outdooe shoes!

Hey. I’m about to return these, but not because they’re bad. Am leaving a review as my experience might be useful for others.
First of all, sizing: I have a pair of Connect 2s, which I wear with the insoles in, in size 43, and that’s right for me and and very comfortable. These, however, in 43, with or without insoles, are too big – lots of space beyond the big toe and also really too roomy around the ankle and heel, especially given that they’re slip-ons. It’s hard to imagine that even if I came down a size, they’d grip the heel and ankle enough. Meanwhile, my toes splay wide, so I’d be loathe to go smaller in these anyway – even with the fairly stretchy upper.
Also, I wear the insoles in my Connect 2s because without them, my toes sit below the lip of the sole and it’s too restrictive for my little toes. Much as I love the Connect 2s, I thought I wanted the option of a much thinner sole, but now I’ve tried it, even just in the house, I’m not sure I do. Maybe something to work towards, but I’m not there yet.
I also think I prefer the Connect 2s’ Ortholite insole to the Flexile insole that comes with these. There’s something almost magically comfortable about the Ortholites. If I was going to keep these, I’d probably get a pair of them to replace the Flexiles.
I’m making the return with some regret as I really like the way these look, but it seems clear that practically they’re not going to work for me.

Hello John, Sorry the Talus3 didn’t work for you. We’ve maybe not made the sizing info clear enough – sorry. They are a whole size bigger than the older Connect2. Probably going a size down would work BUT they are always going to be what we call a ‘relaxed’ fit because there is no fastening system on them. We love Ortholite too – really Flexile is meant for when you want maximum ground feel and not so much shock absorption (it’s a less dense shock absorbing foam). Drop us a line if you want a 15% discount on something else, to make up for the inconvenience. All the best, Andrew

I had my talus 2 for 4 years and used them for running on the fells, hiking ultra distance challenge events in and even for work. I tried some other brands but found im not a fan of them and now returned back to Freet. I bought the talus 3 and done a few runs in the sludge and on the fells and a couple of 40 mile hikes in them. I prefer the ultra minimalistic side of things so these are the best shoe for me

I just received the shipment. Wow. I’ve tried/owned many barefoot shoes from many barefoot companies. The design/feel/function of the Talus 2 & 3 (especially 3) is probably the best all around when it comes to barefoot slip on shoes & Freet sells them at a very reasonable price. Superb job on these!
I just hope Freet makes bigger sizes (43,44,45 & beyond) for the Talus 3. Is there any way that I can sign up for notifications when the Talus 3’s in these aforementioned bigger sizes are available for purchase?
Again, great job on designing a great (Talus) shoe!
