Excellent shoes; they are incredibly comfortable and feel super light. Even after wearing them for more than eight hours a day, my feet still feel relaxed and weightless. I will definitely buy some more.

Exelent boot for gardenwork!
However, within a coupleof days the stitches on the side of the sole came out( see photo).
How can we fix this?

Photos of Durham boots after a month of wear working extended hours on sound stages and outdoors in various terrains around LA County with temperatures ranging from 39-115 degrees Fahrenheit.
Now after three months of regular wear the boots have broken in nicely and are holding up well.
My long-toed mountain shape feet measure 24/10 cm without socks. I like the included insole for warm temps and swap for wool inserts on cooler days. Socks I wear: lightweight quick dry, Bombas mid weight wool, Darn Tough T4050 heavyweight tactical, heavyweight baby alpaca blend. I kept size 39 as it felt roomy initially and worked with light to mid weight socks. It feels a tad snug in the heel with heavyweight socks and wool insert but I find if I bend through my foot more while walking I don’t get pulling at the heel. I will eventually buy size 40 for next winter’s rotation and keep 39 for warmer months.
With any new boot, I wear a higher sock until the leather breaks in to avoid excessive skin rubbing around the ankles. Don’t blame the boot for user error. These boots feel good, look nice, and are well designed. Would love to see them in black nubuck as well.

Very pleased with the boots. Quality seems excellent. I'm finding the fit comfortable. I usually considered my foot size to be EU 45 / UK 11 but Freet sizings twin uk11 with EU46 so I ordered a 45/10 - which turned out too small - I needed the 46/11. But your feet are probably different to mine. If you're still reading this you're probably not a very busy person. I can confirm the returns system worked just fine and the whole shopping experience was most satisfactory.

A great practical winter boot. A decent sole for cold muddy ground. Just a couple of personal niggles in trying to get the boot on with a think sock is tricky. There is a ridge around the inside of the toe box on the sole which I’m hoping will wear down with use. I’d like the ankle height to be taller to offer more protection.
