This shoe fits small: consider a larger size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits small to size; if you sometimes have to go up a size, it is more likely that you may need to go up a size with this style.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All UK sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.

Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.
Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

Great shoe but no grip on slippery surfaces

I bought this shoe for working in a restaurant.
I got it in EU size 45, my feet are ca. 28 cm long and 11 cm wide.
The insole is good to have, especially for people who are new to barefoot. I'm not, but if I take the insole out the shoe feels too roomy. Also since I don't have high volume feet.
So consider that when choosing your size.
Thanks for your great support via email Freet in helping me choose the right size, it's my first Freet shoe.

Overall I like the shoe, not sure if I gonna continue using it in the restaurant for work since it doesn't have a good grip on slippery surfaces and maybe in summer it could get quite hot in these shoes as well.

Great shoe

- My feet are L 280mm R 275mm. Width of my feet is around 105mm in the finger area and also in the middle

- Width-wise all freet shoes I tested fit me well.

- Vibe2 size 45 fits like a 44 in xero or 45 belenka. Comfort 4.5/5
- Vibe1 size 46 fits like a 44 in xero or 45 belenka. Comfort 4.5/5
I measured the insoles of vibe1 s46 and vibe2 s45 and they are literally the same length.

- Quality looks to be good on all shoes but the workmanship is not 100% precise. Here and there minor imperfections but nothing major.
- The smell of the materials is that typical Chinese smell when new. So far only Belenka made in EU uses materials what smell nice and natural but that also shows on the price.

Well I am in transition to zero drop shoes to move into a natural way of running, so purchased the Vibes. Wow, they are greeeeaaat. All I can say is that I have to remember to take them off to give them a break from me, so I'm going to have to purchase some more! I am now into full training in them and I love them. They also look good as a bonus. Thanks freet.
