This shoe fits true to size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All UK sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

It is vital that you allow at least 5mm extra at the front of the shoe. For example; your foot is 248mm long. You will likely need size EU40 to allow enough free space at the end of your shoe.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer).

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.

Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

I love the shoes, they are comfortable and varm during the vinter. They are very good quality.

What a great pair of boots

What a great pair of boots. My feet are used to barefoot boots and they instantly loved these new ones. They are extreamly comfortable on first wearing. My only niggle is that the flat laces don't slide through the eyelets very well so they are more difficult to tighten. Worth putting up with and round laces might work better which I will try at some point.

Very comfortable. Like that the flat laces havehooks designed for flat laces, different to my Mudee 2 which has round laces with different hooks, impressive.

Love them!

Love them! I have high volume feet and I can easily wear nice warm thick wool socks with these boots keeping my feet warm and dry. To date I’ve o ly been on soft muddy ground with leaves and the boots have coped well and I’ve stayed upright! Looking forward to a wet soggy winter and nice warm waterproof boots this winter!
