The Salcombe sandals have just arrived. I have obviously not, in this cold weather, tried them outside, however, I thought I would give a quick review to help give others contemplating buying them a brief overview.
They fit true to size, if just a little bigger, but not with a need to drop down a size. They fit beautifully and have ample room. I have the straps done up to the full; there is no tightness across the feet and the hold firm without any restriction.
They feel so comfortable and soft to wear, the leather is soft and feels lovely without any lining. Light and walking around the house in them for a while, one can forget they are on one's feet.
I have a lower volume foot, but wide all the way down. My ankles quit thick, yet, there is still room to move and feel my feet free. So anyone with a higher volume foot, due to the alterable straps, would find these can fit very well.
Maybe someone with a slimmer foot might find them a bit roomy, but then, there is always the option to punch another hole in the straps for a firmer fit.
My impressions thus far...I love them. They look good and feel good. I will at a later date, once worn for long periods outdoors, give an update.
They are also very smart or can be causal.
