Chamois

After 13 years of wearing VivoBarefoot, these are my first pair of Freet shoes, and the toe box—particularly the volume—is a significant improvement.

I’ve logged 40km in the wet, muddy conditions of the Peak District, and they have performed exceptionally well. They offer a perfect balance of ground feel and protection. Breathability is a standout feature; even when the leather was fully saturated, there was minimal condensation build-up after several hours of hiking.

My only criticism is that the eyelets are very harsh on laces; the stock pair broke almost immediately. I’ve switched to 550 paracord, which shows some wear but is holding up. On the plus side, the eyelets grip the laces incredibly securely. I was also impressed by the traction—while not quite on the level of Vibram Megagrip, the grip on wet rock is surprisingly close. Highly recommended.

Excellent leather boot. Good grip on muddy, slippery slopes. Waterproofing is good so far. Very happy.

These were a present for my daughter who wears always barefoot shoes.The quality is very good, the colour is a nice, warm brown. Our only concern is sizing. She is size 5, but they were too small. Size 6 is ok, slightly big, she needs a thicker pair of socks.

very stiff upper to start off with, but that's to be expected with leather waterproof boots. pretty comfortable, the laces seem very strong (they haven't come undone), the boots are waterproof so far (I tested them in light rain, mud, etc.). my only problem so far is that the ankles are really rubbing/pushing and I'm not sure if that will go away with breaking the boots in more.

Lovely boot - but sadly it just isn't a good fit for me.
