This shoe fits true to size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All UK sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

It is vital that you allow at least 5mm extra at the front of the shoe. For example; your foot is 248mm long. You will likely need size EU40 to allow enough free space at the end of your shoe.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer).

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.

Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

Solid true barefoot boot

I just got a pair of these and they feel awesome. Since they’re full leather they felt a little stiff in the first couple days. Bit now they are great. Looks like they will be the best in winter in the city and summer on the mountain

Great boot 8/10

Great boot. Possibly one of the best boots I've bought, they are pretty lightweight as far as a full leather, lined boot goes and have a decent amount of grip. They do however sacrifice a bit of flexibility and feel compared to other barefoot hiking boots but you can still feel everything and the toe box is beautifully wide. The leather wasn't too bad too break in and took about 25-30k steps, absolutely no pain during the breaking-in process, no blisters or bloody feet, only a pressure point on the outside of my ankle where the lace closure is but has now gone.
If you are new to barefoot boots, do it!
If you need a new one, do it!
I'm supper happy with the choice I made in these boots over any other brands and the price is very reasonable for the quality of the product.
And for them to come from Yorkshire is just a bonus

Fantastic boot

Fantastic boot, everything I wanted in a sturdy hiking boot. Feels very secure and super comfy.
Had to be careful not to over tighten on the first few wears as this lead to a bit of pinching from the laces being too tight.
Hasn’t rubbed once and feels very waterproof and warm.
