I got these based on a recommendation from Anya's Reviews, and as always, it was a good one. This is my first time getting Freets, and I generally really like mine!
The biggest pro for me is how easy they are to slip on and off. With no laces and a stretchy upper, I can quickly slip them on to run outside to take out the garbage or wiggle my shoes on with my hands full on the way out the door with just a free finger to help pull the heel of the shoe over my own heel. The sole is flexible enough that I have decent groundfeel but also has a good tread for flat, slick surfaces. They look good enough to wear with dressier clothes for work but work equally well with gym clothes.
There are a just a few things I wish were different that keep them from being a 5-star shoe for me. The biggest one is that I wish the toebox were a little wider--a little bit more of a curved forefoot would allow my big toes and little toes to not be squished against the sidewalls of the upper. The upper is flexible enough to allow for it, and they do break in a little bit, but right out of the box I almost sent them back for that reason. Another issue for me is that they're not great warm-weather shoes--the uppers feel like polyester, and the trap heat like it, too. At the same time, once the weather gets cold, they're not very warm, either. And it's a small quibble, but the toggles are annoying if you do anything where the tops of your feet have to be against the floor/ground.
