With the supplied elastic laces at full release it was still very difficult to insert my bigger (left) foot in my size (43) and the pressure on top of my foot made extended wearing vey uncomfortable. replacement with overlaced ordinary laces - as per Stride 2 (which they are basically a black version of) - produced a comfortable, but snug, fit. In a 44 - at full extension - I can wear with provided elasticated lace as a slip-on. I have had other zero-drop sandshoes with elasticated laces which had considerably more play in them, so conclude - for me - those supplied by Freet in Leap 2 are just too tight.
Hopefully the current remaindering of both Stride 2 and Leap 2 is not an end for the Freet 4+1 footwear model. I find, in combination with toe-socks, having a thumb in my foot-mitt very comfortable for walking and it allows a much more natural gait. [This is my third model of Freet 4+1.]
